Tim Smith, President of Competitive Simulations Inc, is the lead competitive simulation moderator and based in Huntington Beach, California. Specializing in designing business competitive simulations (war games) for a broad range of client companies around the globe, Tim’s experience began in the U.S. Army Intelligence community, where he designed, developed and implemented numerous joint-service military training exercises. Then he spent 17 years working in the business sector where he has conducted over 200 war games for Fortune 500 companies. Tim has also trained facilitators from the following companies to run their own simulations: 3M, Amgen, Dow Corning, HP, Kimberly-Clark, and Medtronic.
Tim earned a BA in Business Economics from the University of California, an MBA from the Peter Drucker Graduate School of Management, Claremont Graduate University and a Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California. He is a guest lecturer on strategy and a student competition judge at BioENGINE, a med tech incubator in Orange County, California. In his spare time he coaches his son’s sports teams and is in training for the Mentor for America on Track program.
